The Housing and Recovery through Peer Services (HARPS) Team is looking for an additional Certified Peer Counselor (CPC) with experience in recovery from substance use disorder. The Peer Specialist functions to provide expertise about the recovery process, symptom management, and the persistence required to encourage clients to have a satisfying life. Provides peer counseling during client contact, carries out rehabilitation and support functions and assists in treatment, education and crisis intervention under the clinical supervision of staff with professional degrees.

Compensation: $22.51 - $30.07 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of paid or volunteer work experience with youth and/or adults with mental illness is highly desired.
• Completed Peer Certification Training with proof of completion or ability to become certified within 90 days of hire is required.
• Have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Previous experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team and working collaboratively with other service providers preferred.
• While no longer required, as a health care provider BHR highly recommends applicants and employees are fully vaccinated against Covid.
