Provide nurturing childcare for infants and children in a daycare setting for the children of mothers completing residential chemical dependency treatment. Plan and implement appropriate daily activities that meet the individual and group needs; encourage parent involvement, document child progress/activities; provide and maintain an environment that is physically, socially and emotionally safe and healthy.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years experience working with children 0-5 years old.
Ability to work effectively and compassionately with chemically dependent adults and diverse populations.
Valid driver's license & insurance coverage as required by law.
Physical Demands: Job requires regular sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, writing, and carrying children and babies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, implements or office equipment; talk and hear; stand and walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop or kneel. Employee must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Employee may be required to move toys, cribs, and light furniture.
