MD degree with psychiatric specialty
Licensed to practice in Washington State
Must be board eligible and has demonstrated ability to perform required duties
TYPICAL DUTIES &
Perform tasks associated with psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of persons served. These duties include but are not limited to psychiatric evaluations, prescribing and administration of psychotropic medications, and provision of post-hospitalization treatment for both voluntary and involuntary consumers.
Provide consultation and supervision to designated medical and non-medical staff
Review charts as needed by WAC, Title XIX, and other regulatory and funding requirements.
Promote awareness of health and medical issues among peers, colleagues, family members and consumers.
Work in a collaborative spirit with treatment team.
Attend agency staff meetings and medical department meetings.Maintain current professional training relevant to job setting, clinical responsibilities and program needs.
